I am a licensed psychologist specializing in anxiety, trauma, and medical life issues (pain management, cancer, sleep issues, TMJ, etc.). I work in private practice, integrated into a general family medical clinic, and currently accept new patients, conference/workshop invitations, and consultation requests.
I have over 20 years of experience as a therapist, hold two master's degrees from Abilene Christian University, and a PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. My experience also includes prior service as an active duty psychologist in the US Air Force and I currently serve as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. In addition to being an established counseling health psychologist, I have presented at numerous national conferences and to general audiences speaking on the topics of diabetes management, career stress, pain management, cancer psychology, trauma, and many other topics.
I am an interactive, solution-focused therapist. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate scientifically grounded methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with individuals to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
